James Martin-Dehtiarov
Managing Partner
James is a former British Army officer with experience in both light and mechanised infantry, as well as specialist weapons unit command. He held leadership roles across multiple environments.
Following his military service, James transitioned into investment management, holding positions at Barclays and Sarasin & Partners where he worked on multi-asset portfolios exceeding £2.5 billion.
In 2022, he returned to the defence sector, relocating to Ukraine as Country Director for a leading UK security & intelligence firm. This evolved into direct integration with key private and government defence bodies where he led, structured and delivered over $6.2 billion in security procurement programmes.
James is an undergraduate alumnus of the London School of Economics and a postgraduate alumnus of Imperial College London.
Neil Martin

Neil, an Oxford graduate and accomplished C-suite executive, brings more than 25 years of global leadership experience across strategy, commercial operations, and mergers and acquisitions.
His career spans multiple sectors and geographies, where he has consistently delivered high-impact results by leading organisations through pivotal phases of growth, transformation, and renewal.
Neil has worked with businesses at all stages, from ambitious early-stage startups to mature enterprises undergoing strategic change. He has successfully executed complex turnarounds, driven high-value exits, and overseen significant refinancing initiatives, always with a focus on long-term value creation.
With deep expertise in Corporate Development, Neil is recognised for his ability to navigate high-pressure, high-stakes environments with clarity and purpose. His approach blends analytical rigour with visionary leadership, enabling teams to unlock new levels of performance. Neil’s reputation is built on trust, strategic insight, and an unwavering commitment to helping organisations achieve breakthrough success.
Asanka Pathiraja

Asanka, an honours graduate of the London School of Economics and a New York Bar-qualified attorney, brings over a decade of deep experience in high-conviction tech-venture investing and capital markets.
He has built a reputation for identifying and supporting disruptive, mission-critical technologies at their earliest stages. As an early seed investor in Virtualitics - widely adopted by the U.S. Department of Defense and IRIS Audio Technologies, deployed by the British Military, Asanka has demonstrated a consistent ability to spot transformational innovation with strategic relevance.
His investment background includes a leadership role at 8 Rivers Capital, a Unicorn Fund that listed NetPower on the NYSE at a $2.2 billion valuation. Prior to that, he practiced at a top-tier AM Law 50 firm in Manhattan, where he led capital markets transactions exceeding $2 billion.
Earlier in his career, Asanka served as a Middle East Policy Analyst under former U.S. President Jimmy Carter, deepening his global policy insight.
Jameel Janjua
Senior Partner
Jameel is a decorated Canadian fighter and test pilot currently serving with Virgin Galactic. He earned a Bachelor of Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada and a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT, graduating with top honours as well as an MBA with a major in Finance from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where he was named a Palmer Scholar.
During his service with the Royal Canadian Air Force, Jameel flew CF-18 Hornets and completed the Fighter Weapons Instructor Course. He also flew 84 combat missions in RAF Tornado GR4s. Selected for the United States Air Force Test Pilot School, he has logged over 5,000 flight hours in more than 65 aircraft types, including the F-16 and F-15.
In 2009, he was one of four finalists in the Canadian Space Agency’s national astronaut recruitment campaign. In October 2020, he joined Virgin Galactic and in June 2024, he co-piloted Galactic 07, becoming the first Canadian to pilot a commercial spaceship.
General Sir Peter Wall GCB CBE MA

Sir Peter Wall is a British Army General who served as Chief of the General Staff, the professional head of the British Army, from 2010 to 2014
Commissioned into the Royal Engineers, he studied engineering at Cambridge and progressed through a series of senior leadership roles over a distinguished 40-year military career. He played a central role in shaping defence strategy, modernising Army structures and advising government on national security matters.
In recognition of his leadership, he was knighted KCB in 2009 and advanced to GCB in 2013. Since leaving the services he has become a prominent figure in strategic leadership and organisational performance.
Sir Peter is the CEO and co-founder of Amicus, a leadership consultancy. He also serves as a Board Director at General Dynamics, Chairman of FGP Group - a British precision engineering business, and as President of the charity Combat Stress.
Yulia Marushevska
Strategic Advisor
Yulia Marushevska is a senior governance and defence expert with a proven track record of leading crucial reforms in Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense during wartime.
As Head of the Reforms Office, she spearheads transformative initiatives aimed at modernising defence procurement processes and overseeing the integration of advanced platforms such as the F-16 fighter jets.
Her leadership has been pivotal in strengthening institutional capacity and ensuring greater transparency and efficiency within the Ministry.
Yulia’s academic background includes being a Stanford Research Scholar, where she conducted in-depth studies on governance and public policy. She also holds a Global Executive Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from New York University and University College London, combining academic training with practical expertise.
With a commitment to strategic reform and institutional resilience, Yulia continues to play a vital role in shaping Ukraine’s defence capabilities amidst ongoing challenges.
